The live exposure dashboard
The GEXStream dashboard shows gamma exposure (GEX) by strike for one ticker, redrawn every second during the session, beside a stats panel of ratios, net totals, implied volatility (IV) and open interest (OI) readings, most with a sigma badge against the ticker's own 120-day history. One chip row switches the same chart to vGEX (GEX by volume), DEX (delta exposure), VEX (vanna exposure), CEX (charm exposure), OI walls or the Convexity Ladder. Clicking a strike opens its Strike Window; the right panel holds a strike-by-expiration heatmap on every plan, and Flow and Quant add the options inventory chart and an AI interpretation panel.
What it shows
The chart is one horizontal bar per strike. With GEX active each bar is call gamma exposure minus put gamma exposure at that strike (formulas on the docs): green where the chain nets out positive gamma, red where it nets out negative. The gamma families draw strikes within 15% of spot; the OI chip keeps a wider 20% window because the deep put walls it exists to show sit further out.
The chip row changes the whole page: the stats panel's RATIO and NET row, its Pos, Zero and Neg strike levels and the right-panel heatmap all follow the active chip. GEX and OI are on every plan, vGEX needs Flow, and DEX, VEX, CEX and the Convexity Ladder (the CVX chip) need Quant.
The stats panel reads, top to bottom: the active family's ratio and net total; Flow Ratio and Net Flow (Flow and up); Premium Ratio and Net Premium (Quant); Net Convexity (Flow and up); the Call OI and Put OI walls and the three strike levels; OI-weighted Call IV, Put IV and Net IV; a Breadth row (Quant); and a collapsible Market Aggregate block that scores the tracked S&P 500 stocks on the active chip's family.
How to read it
Ratios run from 0 to 1 with 0.5 as the pivot; for GEX, above 0.5 means the strikes that net out positive carry most of the chain's absolute gamma. The sigma badge is a z-score of today's reading against the last 120 days of that ticker's daily values: it appears once ten sessions of history exist, the band is recomputed every 12 hours, and +2.1σ means about two standard deviations above the ticker's own norm, not the market's.
Pos and Neg name the strikes with the largest positive and negative exposure; Zero Gamma (Zero Delta, Zero Vanna, Zero Charm, or Pivot for the ladder) is where the sign flips. GEX and vGEX net calls against puts and can be read through dealer hedging. DEX, VEX and CEX do not: they sum call and put exposure at natural sign, and open interest does not say who holds each side, so read their sign as the positioning of the options, not of a dealer's book (docs). The Convexity Ladder is a snapshot of net front-expiration positions weighted by current gamma, so its rows read Ladder, not Convexity.
Wicks, IV dots and the Strike Window
The wicks toggle draws each strike's session high and low behind its bar, tracked since the 4:00 PM ET reset, for GEX, vGEX, DEX, VEX, CEX and the ladder (on OI, settled once nightly, it draws the overnight change). Wide wicks mean positioning in flux, tight ones a stable level (docs). The iv toggle (Flow and up) overlays call and put IV at every strike of the nearest expiration, capped to 10% either side of spot, so the smile sits on the gamma profile.
Clicking any bar opens the Strike Window. Its Book tab charts that one strike's exposure through the session in 5-minute samples, one chip per family on your plan, plus the strike's daily OI for the last 7 sessions. The Flow tab (Flow and up) replays the strike's classified prints as a signed tape, buys up and sells down, with spot overlaid, in 5, 15 or 30 minute buckets, regular session hours only (docs).
Inventory, heatmap and the AI panel
On Flow and Quant a second chart, options inventory, sits beside the exposure chart and refreshes every second: net calls in green and net puts in red by strike, bought to the right of the centre line and sold to the left, on the front expiration (the nearest three for SPX, NDX and RUT). Clicking one of its bars opens the Strike Window on the Flow tab (docs).
The right panel carries a strike-by-expiration heatmap of the active family, 23 strikes by 6 expirations around spot, refreshed every 5 seconds, plus a Net IV heatmap; both render in 2D or 3D.
The AI panel (Flow and up, select tickers) is a short interpretation generated by Claude from the live metrics: a bullish, bearish or neutral signal with a confidence percentage and a note on what the numbers do not show at a glance, one per ticker, refreshed on a 2-minute cycle during market hours. It is informational, not advice.
Which plans include it
The dashboard is on every plan. Basic includes the GEX and OI chips, session wicks, the IV rows, both heatmaps, the Market Aggregate block and the Strike Window Book tab with GEX and daily OI. Flow adds the vGEX chip, the Flow and Convexity rows, the IV dots, the options inventory chart, the Strike Window Flow tab and the AI panel. Quant adds the DEX, VEX, CEX and Convexity Ladder chips, the Premium row and the Breadth row. Prices are on the plans page.
